Know your parent is OK, without checking up on them.

Noticing is a simple app that uses everyday signals from your parent's phone to give you reassurance they're up and about, without you having to check in.

Over time, Noticing learns their usual routine and helps you recognise changes that might otherwise go unnoticed.

A little reassurance amidst the busyness of life, without compromising their independence.

Why noticing early matters

Peace of mind, every day

When a parent lives on their own, it’s natural to wonder if they’re up and about, especially if you don’t live nearby. Noticing gives you that reassurance without either of you having to do anything. They get on with their day, and you get on with yours.

The little changes are easy to miss

Changes don’t always happen overnight. Getting up a little later, more restless nights, a routine that starts to look different. Noticing learns what’s usual for your parent and lets you know when something has changed and stayed changed. It won’t tell you what it means, but it can help you start a conversation sooner.

Noticing doesn’t diagnose. It notices.

No family should have to wish they’d noticed sooner

Noticing reassures families today, and quietly builds the picture they’ll be glad to have tomorrow

How it works

1. Download and connect:

You and your parent both download Noticing, and you send them a code to link your phones.

2. They choose what to share:

Your parent decides what Noticing can see, and can change it any time. They’re always in charge.

3. Noticing quietly keeps an eye out

Noticing runs quietly on their phone. An “up and about” message lands on your phone each morning, and a short round-up of their day each evening. No need to open anything.

4. Look in whenever you like

Open the app to see more of what your parent has chosen to share, such as battery level and steps.

5. It learns their normal

Over time, Noticing shows you their usual pattern and points out if it changes for several weeks.
