Last updated: 4 November 2026
This page explains how Noticing Ltd (“Noticing”, “we”, “us”) collects and uses your personal information when you visit our website, sign up as an early tester or get in touch with us. It covers this website only. The Noticing app has its own privacy notice, which you see before you start using it.
Who we are
Noticing Ltd is a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17524865). Our registered office is Q West, Great West Road, Brentford, London TW8 0GP. We decide how the information described on this page is used, which makes us the “controller” under UK data protection law. You can contact us about anything on this page at hello@noticingapp.co.uk.
What we collect
We only collect what you choose to give us:
Early tester sign-up: your first name, last name and email address.
Contact form: your name, email address and message.
Emails you send us: whatever you include in your email.
Like most websites, our site also uses cookies and collects basic information about visits, such as which pages are viewed and roughly where visitors come from. The “Cookies” section below says what we use and how to turn the optional ones off.
How we use it
We use your information to:
reply to your message or enquiry
contact you about testing Noticing, if you’ve signed up as an early tester, and to arrange and run that testing with you
understand how our website is used and improve it
keep our website secure and working properly
We will never sell your information, and we won’t send you marketing you haven’t asked for. We don’t use your information to make automated decisions about you.
Our legal basis
Early tester sign-up: your consent. You can withdraw it at any time by emailing us, and we will stop contacting you.
Enquiries and messages: our legitimate interest in replying to people who contact us.
Essential cookies and site security: our legitimate interest in running a website that works and is safe to use.
Analytics cookies: your consent, given through the cookie banner.
Keeping records we are required to keep: our legal obligations.
Who we share it with
We use trusted service providers to run our website and email. They act on our instructions and may only use your information to provide their service to us:
Squarespace (Squarespace Ireland Limited, Dublin), which hosts our website and stores the details you enter in our forms. Squarespace’s servers are in the United States. Transfers to the US are covered by the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, which Squarespace, Inc. is certified under, and by standard contractual clauses.
IONOS (IONOS Cloud Ltd, a UK company), which provides our email.
We don’t share your information with anyone else unless the law requires us to. If we ever bring in another provider, we will update this page.
How long we keep it
Early tester details: until you ask us to remove you, or until the early testing programme ends and we no longer need them, and in any case no longer than 24 months after we last hear from you.
Enquiries and emails: normally no longer than 24 months after we last hear from you.
Visit statistics: as described under “Cookies” below.
You can ask us to delete your information sooner at any time.
Cookies
Cookies are small files a website stores on your device. Our website is built on Squarespace, which sets two kinds:
Essential cookies, which are needed for the site to work: for example, to protect forms against misuse and to remember the choice you make in the cookie banner. These cannot be turned off.
Analytics cookies, which tell us how many people visit, which pages they look at and where they came from. These are set only if you choose “Accept all” in the cookie banner. The longest-lasting of them is kept for two years.
We use no advertising cookies. You can change your choice at any time by choosing “Manage cookies” in the banner, or by clearing cookies in your browser. Squarespace publishes a full list of the cookies it uses at support.squarespace.com.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
ask for a copy of the information we hold about you
ask us to correct it if it is wrong
ask us to delete it
ask us to limit how we use it
receive a copy you can take elsewhere
object to how we use it
withdraw your consent at any time, where we rely on it
To use any of these rights, email us at hello@noticingapp.co.uk. We will reply within one month. We may ask you to confirm who you are before we act, so that we don’t give your information to someone else.
If you are not happy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK’s data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Children
This website and our early testing programme are for adults. We don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you think a child has given us their details, please email us and we will remove them.
Links to other websites
Our site may link to other websites, such as app stores. We aren’t responsible for how they handle your information, so please read their own privacy notices.
Changes to this page
If we change how we use your information, we will update this page and the date at the top. If a change matters to people who have already given us their details, we will email them about it.
